Even though the sapiens brain contain adaptive capabilities which give us the ability to learn new technological tools and methods, the brain itself hasn’t fundamentally changed these capabilities in 20.000 years. Truth is we are far more adapted to learn new skills while we practically perform them and when objects interact with us and the environment 3-dimensionally in front of our eyes. Our brains in fact do think and in 3-dimensional images and watching 2-dimensional screens is big perceptual detour which we do not need to take anymore.
Our total educational system is built on the idea that we first should learn something theoretically before we begin practice it. A perfectly reasonable approach until now.
NOW surgeons can begin practicing early on and countlessly more times without risking the health of a patient.
NOW we can learn any skill without wasting loads of material from practicing in the physical world.
